Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of BackupYourSite.

The service

BackupYourSite provides automated offsite backup and restore for websites you own or are authorised to manage. You connect sites by granting SSH (or, when available, plugin) access; we back them up on the schedule you configure and store the results in managed offsite storage.

Your responsibilities

• Only connect servers and sites you are authorised to access.
• Keep your account credentials secure; actions taken from your account are yours.
• Verify important restores on a copy first when the stakes demand it.

Our responsibilities

• We verify every backup before it is stored and alert you on failures.
• We isolate each customer's data and encrypt stored credentials.
• Retention removes old backups only after a fully clean new backup.

Subscriptions

Plans renew per the cycle you choose. If a subscription lapses, backups pause after a grace period; stored backups are retained for a limited window so you can renew without loss. You may cancel any time; deletion of your account disables backups immediately.

Limitation

Backups reduce risk; no service can guarantee against every failure. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the preceding three months.
